Job description
We are a pediatric and orthodontic practice. We are seeking an experienced office manager who can lead our team by example and ensure a positive and professional office environment. **Primary responsibilities:**
Have a strong knowledge of Dentrix software
Be willing to learn Ortho2 software
Process insurance claims and adjustments accurately
Post payments
Manage insurance and patient aging reports routinely
Maintain accounts receivable
Maintain high collections %
Resubmit claims in a timely manner
Understand and process insurance narratives
Be familiar with DentiCal and it's limitations/requirements
Understand the DentiCal processes for Claim Inquiry Form (CIF) and Resubmission Turnaround Document (RTD)
Send statements to parents
Train front desk staff on their roles and responsibilities
Understand dental codes and insurance limitations
Maintain a productive patient schedule
Understand general anesthesia case scheduling (for both Rady Children's hospital and in the office)
Run monthly practice management reports and report to doctor
Process bi\-weekly payroll reports
Renegotiate insurance fee schedules
**Other duties include but not limited to:**
Enforce office policies and protocols
Monitor production and efficiency of all team members
Stay familiar with HIPAA regulations
Oversee office marketing and networking
Help create agenda for monthly team meetings
Hold monthly staff training sessions
Maintain staff schedules and lunches
Manage the office calendar for various events, evaluations and meetings
Assist doctor in assessing staff performance
