**About Us** Alexa James Baby is a premium children's boutique in Hyde Park, Austin, offering luxury, curated clothing and essentials for newborns through age 8\. We pride ourselves on a warm, personalized shopping experience and a thoughtfully curated collection for our customers both in Austin and online across the US. **About the Role** We're looking for a friendly, detail\-oriented Sales Associate to be a face of our store — helping customers find exactly what they need, keeping the boutique looking beautiful, and supporting day\-to\-day operations both in\-store and online. **What You'll Do** * Greet and assist customers with warmth and genuine care, offering styling and gift suggestions * Process sales transactions accurately using our POS system (Shopify) * Support processing of online orders — picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment or local pickup * Maintain visual merchandising standards — folding, restocking, and styling displays throughout the day * Receive and process incoming inventory, including tagging and stocking new arrivals * Keep the sales floor, fitting rooms, and stockroom clean and organized * Build relationships with repeat customers and support loyalty/rewards program engagement * Answer phone and online inquiries; assist with local pickup/delivery orders as needed * Support seasonal displays, events, and promotions **What We're Looking For** * Retail or customer service experience preferred (kids' or specialty retail a plus) * Warm, approachable communication style — comfortable with parents, grandparents, and little ones alike * Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation * Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekday afternoons and weekends (our busiest days) * Basic comfort with POS systems and technology; Shopify experience a plus * Ability to lift/move stock boxes up to 25 lbs * A genuine interest in children's fashion and small\-business retail **Compensation \& Perks** * $18/hour * Employee discount on
