**Job Summary** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation of high\-quality meals while maintaining food safety standards and ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment. This role is essential in supporting our chefs and ensuring that all ingredients are prepped and ready for cooking, contributing to an efficient kitchen operation. **Duties** * Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items. * Follow recipes and instructions from chefs to ensure consistency in food preparation. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of food items. * Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to prevent contamination. * Assist in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas. * Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during meal periods. * Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety standards. **Skills** * Proficient knife skills for efficient food preparation. * Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations. * Experience in menu planning and knowledge of dietary needs is a plus. * Background in food service or culinary arts preferred. * Ability to handle food safely and maintain hygiene standards in the kitchen. * Excellent teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen environment. * Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively during busy service periods.
