We’re looking for an experienced Lead Cook who takes pride in mentoring others, maintaining high culinary standards, and leading by example.
**Position Summary**
We are seeking a skilled and motivated **Lead Cook** with a minimum of **2 years of kitchen leadership experience**. This individual will work alongside the kitchen management team to oversee daily operations, ensure consistency and quality, train team members, and help maintain an organized, efficient, and positive work environment.
**Responsibilities**
* Lead and motivate the kitchen team during daily service.
* Maintain exceptional food quality, consistency, and presentation.
* Train, coach, and mentor line cooks and prep cooks.
* Ensure recipes and preparation techniques are followed accurately.
* Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion control.
* Assist with inventory, ordering, and minimizing food waste.
* Maintain a clean, organized kitchen while following all health and safety regulations.
* Help create efficient systems and improve kitchen operations.
* Work collaboratively with management to achieve restaurant goals.
* Lead by example with professionalism, urgency, and a positive attitude.
**Qualifications**
* **Minimum 2 years of leadership experience** in a high\-volume restaurant kitchen.
* Experience preparing Japanese cuisine is strongly preferred.
* Passion for vegan or plant\-based cuisine is a plus.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast\-paced environment.
