Dog Daycare Attendant (Dog handling experience required)

**Overview** **LOOKING FOR MORNING SHIFT HELP (6am\-12pm varies) WITH SOME AFTERNOON/EVENINGS AS NEEDED**. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs in our daycare facility. You will interact with dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring their well\-being while fostering positive relationships with both the pets and their owners. If you have a love for animals and experience in pet care, we encourage you to apply. **Duties** * Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime to ensure safety and proper behavior. * Provide basic training and reinforcement of commands to promote good manners among the dogs. * Assist in maintaining a clean and organized daycare environment, including cleaning kennels and play areas. * Monitor the health and behavior of dogs, reporting any concerns to management. * Perform heavy lifting as needed when moving supplies or assisting with larger breeds. * Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's needs and activities. * Assist with grooming tasks as required, ensuring that all dogs are clean and comfortable. * Maintain accurate records of dog behavior, health issues, or any incidents that occur during daycare hours. **Requirements** * Previous experience in dog handling or animal care is preferred. * Skills in dog training or veterinary technician experience are highly desirable. * Familiarity with pet grooming techniques is a plus. * Experience as a veterinary assistant or kennel worker is beneficial. * Strong animal handling skills, including knowledge of animal restraint techniques. * Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (up to 50 pounds). * Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners. * A genuine love for animals and commitment to their care and well\-being.
