**Sharon Academy Preschool – Charlotte, NC**
Sharon Academy Preschool is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced **Pre\-Kindergarten Lead Teacher** to join our team. We provide high\-quality, full\-time early childhood education and care for children from infancy through Pre\-Kindergarten in a safe, nurturing, Christian environment.
Our mission is to provide quality and engaging early childhood education through a loving, faith\-based atmosphere where children are encouraged to grow academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet **one** of the following requirements:
* An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a closely related field, with a minimum of two (2\) years of classroom experience; **or**
* A degree in another field with at least **12 semester hours in Early Childhood Education/Child Development** and a minimum of two (2\) years of experience working in an early childhood setting.
Preferred qualifications include:
* Proficiency in **Letterland** curriculum and instructional practices.
* Knowledge of NC Foundations for Early Learning and Development.
* Strong classroom leadership and organizational skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* A genuine passion for working with young children and their families.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Develop meaningful relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members.
* Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans that promote school readiness and kindergarten success.
* Effectively implement the **Letterland** curriculum to build early literacy skills.
* Foster a positive classroom environment through strong classroom management, positive guidance, and nurturing relationships.
* Observe, assess, and document children's developmental progress while maintaining accurate records.
