Dental Assistant (DA or RDA)

We are a pediatric and orthodontic dental practice in San Diego and are looking to add a dental assistant who is compassionate, engaging and friendly with both the children/parents and our staff. Good communication/verbal and customer service skills are a must. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Perform prophy and fluoride Chairside assisting for pediatric dental treatment Orthodontic assisting (at least 1 day a week) Setting up and breaking down chairs Taking and processing digital radiographs Sterilization Maintenance Ordering Infection control protocol REQUIREMENTS: Current coronal polishing certificate (for RDA) Current x\-ray certificate Current BLS/CPR certificate PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Current (or Pending) California RDA Certificate 1 year experience in a pediatric dental office Knowledge of Dentrix Practice Management software Sealant certificate Orthodontic experience Job Type: Full\-time Pay: $19\.00 \- $28\.00 per hour Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Employee discount * Free parking * Health insurance * Opportunities for advancement * Paid sick time * Paid time off Work Location: In person
