Security Officer

Job Summary: The Security Officer is responsible for: * Patrolling an assigned outdoor area and be responsible for providing high levels of customer service * Preventing violations of Las Vegas Monorail rules and regulations, as well as violations of local, state, and federal laws; providing crowd control * Responding and providing First Aid to include CPR in cases of emergency * Enforcing company policy and procedures, protecting property from theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire and accidents * Investigating and writing accurate reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards and other security related situations * Providing any needed assistance to customers, employees, and vendors; monitoring all activities on Las Vegas Monorail property * May temporarily perform duties of a Security Supervisor as assigned, and perform other related duties as assigned by a Security Supervisor, or Security Manager. ***Qualifications:*** ***Must be able to work weekends, evenings, holidays and overtime*** ***One year of experience in security operations preferred.*** Benefits include: * Heavily subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance * 19 days paid time off * 12 paid holidays * Uniform provided * Short\-term and long\-term disability (offered at no cost to the employee) * Life insurance (offered at no cost to the employee) * 401(k) plan, including employer match * Merit raises MUST BE ABLE TO SUCCESSFULLY PASS A CRIMINAL AND EMPLOYMENT BACKGROUND CHECK, AS WELL AS A DRUG TEST.
