Caregiver / Home Care Aide

Willow Home Care is a small, locally owned home care agency here in Austin. We help seniors stay in their own homes with non\-medical care: companionship, a hand around the house, personal care, and help with the things that have gotten harder to do alone. We're hiring caregivers right now, and we'd love to meet you. We start our caregivers at $18 to $20 an hour, which is honestly some of the best pay you'll find for this kind of work in Austin. That's on purpose. Good caregivers are hard to find and worth holding onto, so we pay well and treat people right. And when you call us, you get the owner, not a call center. Here's what the job looks like day to day: * Keeping clients company and being a friendly face they can count on * Helping with bathing, grooming, dressing, and using the restroom * Cooking simple meals and keeping the home tidy * Helping people move around safely, including transfers * Reminding clients to take their medications (we remind, we don't give medications) * Driving clients to appointments, errands, and outings in your own car * Keeping an eye on their safety and letting us know if something seems off What we need from you: * You're at least 18 * You're kind, patient, and someone people can rely on. That part we can't teach. * You have a valid driver's license, an insured car, and a clean enough driving record to drive clients around * You're okay with a background check and the state registry check we're required to run * You can pass a drug screen before you start (we're a drug\-free workplace) * You can give us two references * You're comfortable with hands\-on personal care and a little lifting No certification? That's okay. Some of our best people came to us with no formal training and a lot of heart. We'll train you, and everyone does a paid orientation and a hands\-on skills check before their first shift, so you're never thrown in cold. If you're a CNA, HHA, or experienced aide, even better.
