Job description

Overview: Element has an opportunity for an **Engineer** to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Engineer position performs a variety of routine and non\-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision. The engineer position must be proficient in a number of core business and technical skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures. Salary: $60,000\- $105,000/yr DOE Responsibilities: * Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus * Have the ability to work on well\-defined issues, standard and/or routine tests, without significant guidance or supervision * Takes Initiative and, in most cases, does not need to wait for further instruction * Able to decide on and implement appropriate testing methods and protocols * Leads and assigns the work of others when needed * Analytical/technical knowledge provides a marked impact on overall laboratory technical capabilities and services * Adapt at managing job priority and work time in accordance with targets/goals set by supervisor * Under the close guidance of advanced Engineers in the laboratory, works on well delineated technical issues including standard and routine analysis * Defined work experience has impact on the day to day technical decisions made on timely delivery of laboratory testing services and customer support * Recognized by colleagues within the lab as possessing strong technical knowledge. * Has a clearly demonstrated ability to apply an array of testing techniques in a rational and practical style to help examine issues and build solutions.
