**Overview** For West Coast Sourdough Sacramento Airport locations we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team in a fast\-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high\-quality sandwiches and ensuring exceptional customer service. This role requires a passion for food preparation and a commitment to maintaining food safety and sanitation standards. **Responsibilities** * Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer orders with precision and attention to detail. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. * Operate point\-of\-sale (POS) systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS, for processing transactions efficiently. * Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. * Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales. * Handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling procedures. * Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and reporting shortages. * Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours. * Follow sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment. **Experience** * Previous experience in food preparation or culinary roles is preferred, particularly in quick service or fast food restaurants. * Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous. * Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting. * Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. * Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash effectively. * Knowledge of food handling practices, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations is essential. * Experience in the food industry, including restaurant or café environments, is highly valued.
