Job description
**JOB SUMMARY**
Working with the Plant Manager, Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for facilities
maintenance, equipment maintenance, and assists with the development and implementation
of manufacturing processes.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
\- Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
\- Install, align, take apart, move and maintain machinery
\- Use various lifting devices, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, gages and
measurement instruments to complete work
\- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and
malfunctions
\- Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and
pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls
\- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
\- Operate machine tools, such as lathes and grinders, to fabricate parts required during
overhaul, maintenance or set\-up of machinery
\- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine scheduled maintenance work on machinery
\- Implement a Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) system, including ISO
documentation and a detailed PM schedule for each machine
\- Use of predictive maintenance techniques and implementation of a computerized
maintenance management system to trigger maintenance planning, execution and
reporting
\- Recognizing and correcting safety concerns
\- Create a spare parts list by machine; and order, inventory and control all spare parts
\- Identify and implement projects to improve machine and operator performance
\- Provide basic operations and maintenance training to production operators
\- Respond immediately to requests from operators and production supervisors

**MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**
