<p><span data-contrast="auto">The Pump Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and overhauling power generations pumps within nuclear power facilities. This role supports machine shop scheduling ensuring the reliability and performance of critical rotating equipment. The position requires strong mechanical expertise, precision measurement skills, and strict adherence to quality assurance.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>
<p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">ONSITE ROLE:</span></strong><span data-contrast="auto"> This position is based on site at the Lark facility in Mount Holly, North Carolina. This is not a travel-based position.</span></p>

<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Overhaul safety-related pumps including RHR, CCW, Service Water, Charging, Condensate, and Feedwater systems.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Disassemble, inspect, repair, and rebuild vertical and horizontal centrifugal pumps in accordance with OEM specifications.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Perform precision measurements of shafts, sleeves, wear rings, and bearing fits to verify tolerances and component condition.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Install, set, and verify mechanical seals during pump rebuild activities.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Troubleshoot seal failures and pump performance issues during maintenance.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Interpret mechanical drawings and OEM technical manuals to guide repair and maintenance work.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Complete work package records in accordance with shop standards.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Maintain strict Foreign Material Exclusion (FME) practices.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Journeyman Millwright or Industrial Mechanic certification, or equivalent hands-on mechanical experience.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Extensive experience performing maintenance, inspection, and rebuilding rotating equipment and industrial pumps.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Demonstrated experience installing and setting mechanical seals during pump overhaul activities.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Strong understanding of pump hydraulics, pump curves, and rotating equipment performance principles.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto"> Experience with disassembly/inspection/repair of rotating equipment including vertical, horizontal, multistage pumps, fans, compressors, etc.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Power generation plant experience in rotating equipment maintenance</span> </li>
</ul>
