The bartender sets-up, services, and breaks-down the bar area ensuring a high level of quality, consistency and service.Job DescriptionKey Job Functions<ul><li>Welcoming customers, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders.</li><li>Planning drink menus and informing customers about new beverages and specials.</li><li>Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers.</li><li>Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol.</li><li>Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked.</li><li>Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.</li><li>Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.</li><li>Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.</li><li>Developing new cocktail recipes.</li><li>This position has the possibility of working in all other outlets in the hotel.</li><li>Deliver Passionate & Engaging Service to our Guests</li><li>You will be passionate and truly engaged in taking care of our guests, recognizing individual guests and anticipating their unique needs in order to exceed their expectations</li><li>Build solid relationship with your Colleagues</li><li>Treat colleagues with respect and dignity</li><li>Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. The employee is expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description.</li><li>You will consistently deliver our GUEST model:<ul><li>Greet or welcome everyone, warmly with a smile</li><li>Use eye and ear contact and guest’s name</li><li>Establish/anticipate needs</li><li>Solve and own all requests/complaints</li><li>Thank everyone</li></ul></li></ul>Qualifications and Skills A candidate for this position must possess the following applicable knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to demonstrate and provide applicable examples to support his/her competency.<ul><li>Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience.</li><li>Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time for training and safety purposes, and when interacting with guests and associates.</li><li>Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.</li><li>Prior experience with MICROS a plus.</li><li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>Valid Louisiana Responsible Vendor Server's Permit required</li></ul>Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
