Job description
**WeCare Centers** is actively seeking a detail\-orientated, compassionate **Resident Intake Coordinator** to help ensure a smooth and welcoming admission experience for every new resident. **Key Responsibilities**
* Accurately enter new resident demographic, insurance, payer, physician, guarantor, emergency contact, and hospital information into the electronic medical record (EMR).
* Create and prepare resident EMR records prior to admission to ensure timely access for clinical and administrative staff.
* Upload, organize, and maintain referral documents, hospital records, medication lists, physician orders, and other admission\-related documentation within the EMR.
* Verify admission information for completeness and accuracy, resolving discrepancies prior to resident arrival.
* Coordinate with Admissions, Nursing, Social Services, Medical Records, Business Office, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure all admission information is available before admission.
* Monitor pending admissions and prioritize EMR setup to meet admission timelines.
* Assist with updating resident information when changes occur before or during the admission process.
* Maintain organized electronic documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
* Protect resident privacy by maintaining strict confidentiality and complying with HIPAA regulations.
* Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance admission workflow efficiency and accuracy.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
**Education**
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Associate degree in Health Information Management, Medical Office Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
