<p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Lead and manage a field survey crew in conducting topographic, construction staking, and other types of land surveys.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Set up and operate GPS equipment, total stations, levels, and other surveying instruments.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Ensure accurate data collection, including measurements, angles, and elevations.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Conduct detailed field notes, sketches, and records to document survey data and site conditions.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Coordinate daily tasks and schedules for the survey crew to ensure project deadlines are met.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, engineers, and other stakeholders regarding project requirements and progress.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Interpret survey data and provide recommendations for project design and construction.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Ensure accuracy and precision of survey work, including verification of data and cross-checking of measurements.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues encountered in the field.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and safety standards.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Ensure proper care, maintenance, and calibration of surveying equipment and tools.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Report any equipment issues or needs for replacement to the appropriate department.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Prepare and submit detailed survey reports, including sketches, maps, and digital data files.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of survey activities and findings.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Provide input into the preparation of project plans, estimates, and schedules.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor’s degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or a related field is a plus.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Typically 3-5 years of experience in land surveying and/or construction layout, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Electrical, Structural and Civil plan reading experience, a plus.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• AutoCAD and Microsoft office experience, a plus.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Trimble equipment experience, required.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Experience with a variety of survey types, including boundary, topographic, construction staking, and ALTA/NSPS surveys.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Proficiency in using surveying equipment such as GPS units, total stations, levels, and data collectors.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team and coordinate with other stakeholders.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Problem-solving abilities to address challenges that arise in the field.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in data collection and reporting.</span></p>
