About Us My World Mandarin Nature School is a distinctive early childhood program built around Mandarin immersion, outdoor education, child\-led learning, and a deep respect for how children naturally develop. For more than a decade, we have created engaging learning environments where children develop confidence, independence, strong relationships, and meaningful Mandarin\-language skills. Our Seattle preschool is the licensed flagship of a well\-established educational program. About the Position We are seeking an experienced early childhood professional to serve as Deputy Director of our Seattle preschool. This is a hands\-on leadership position combining daily operations, licensing compliance, staff support, family communication, and classroom involvement. The Deputy Director will work closely with the School Director and Mandarin instructional team to maintain a safe, organized, consistent, and high\-quality program. Mandarin is welcomed but not required. The Deputy Director will not be expected to lead Mandarin instruction but must respect and actively support our established language\-immersion, nature\-based, and child\-centered model. Key Responsibilities Program Operations and Licensing * Support the safe and effective daily operation of the preschool. * Help maintain ongoing compliance with Washington DCYF licensing requirements. * Maintain required records, staff files, documentation, and operational procedures. * Coordinate classroom staffing, scheduling, coverage, and daily transitions. * Monitor health, safety, attendance, emergency\-preparedness, and supervision systems. * Help prepare for licensing visits and respond promptly to compliance needs. * Serve in the qualifying DCYF leadership role assigned to the position.
