Veterinary Assistant or Technician

As a valued team member, you’ll contribute to the overall health and well\-being of animals in your community while collaborating with colleagues who share your enthusiasm. **Duties:** * Client communication * Triaging patients including basic injury/illness assessment, gathering patient information, and taking vital signs. * Performing diagnostic testing including radiographs and lab work * Assisting with surgical procedures and patient monitoring * Assisting in taking radiographs * Giving IV \& IM injections * Dispensing controlled drugs * Placing IV catheters and maintaining feeding tubes and urinary catheters * Monitor Surgical procedures. * Lab Diagnostics * Performs other related duties as assigned. **Required Skills/Abilities:** * Ability to work with or around sick animals, potentially hazardous materials, cleaning chemicals, gas anesthetics, and unpleasant odors. * Ability to always communicate professionally and effectively and maintain professionalism in emotionally charged / challenging situations. * Ability to provide high quality customer service. * Ability to work effectively as a member of a team. * Ability to work effectively with computers and electronics.
