Crew Leader, Janitor

Summary: The Crew Leader, Custodian will perform daily cleaning, minor maintenance, yard duties, and assigned tasks in order to provide a safe and healthy learning environment in all school district facilities. SUPERVISORY EXPECTATIONS: Manage assigned clerical staff and subordinate professional personnel in one or more sections of the department. Take responsibility for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of assigned teams. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the district’s policies and applicable state and federal laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. DISTRICT EXPECTATIONS: All district employees must: * Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance. Responsibilities: * Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and burnish floors, as well as vacuum and shampoo carpets as applicable; cleans, sanitizes, and stocks restrooms; cleans and dusts all horizontal and vertical surfaces as assigned; removes and dispose of waste products daily; maintains clean custodial closets. * Performs minor non\-cleaning maintenance tasks of facility (i.e. changes light bulbs, changes toilet seats, unclogs toilets, changes ceiling tiles, touches up paint, secures window(s), delivers supplies, sets up for facility activities, meetings, and/or conferences, assembles and moves furniture, etc.). * Follows a lawn and facility maintenance program to include, but not limited to: mowing
