Job description
Description:
The Housekeeping Supervisor reports to the Housekeeping Manager and is responsible for the following:
* Assist housekeeping management in managing daily activities of housekeeping, laundry, and recreation staff as assigned
* Assist in interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, and counseling staff
* Ensure proper key controls are in effect
* Ensure that room inspections are conducted as required
* Ensure all reports are prepared accurately and distributed as required
* Monitor Lost and Found and general cleaning programs
* Maintain adequate inventories of linen, guest room supplies, uniform, and cleaning supplies
* Ensure public areas, guestrooms, storage, and office areas are clean
* Each associate is expected to carry out, within their capabilities, all reasonable requests by management
* Assist Housekeeping Manager in maintaining deep cleaning program
* Conducts room inspections
* Maintains cleanliness quality based on hotel objectives and Marriott based standards.
**Special Requirements**
* Prompt and regular attendance \- the hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day
* Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and associates may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work, and overtime as required
* Must be available at a full\-time status
* Comply with hotel and/or department uniform and professional behavior and appearance standards
* Carry out all reasonable requests by team leaders and managers and act as a team player with all levels of staff
* Review and approve electronic timecard weekly for accuracy
