**Duties**
* Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
* Monitor patients’ health by observing vital signs, managing medication administration, and updating care plans accordingly
* Support with mobility and transfers using proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques
* Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
* Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well\-being and social engagement
* Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, sanitation, and organization of living spaces
* Document patient observations accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy
**Qualifications**
* Proven experience working as a caregiver in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings
* Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities support
* Ability to monitor patients’ vital signs and recognize signs of distress or medical emergencies; CPR and first aid certification required
* Familiarity with patient transfer methods including Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques; heavy lifting capability necessary
