<div> <h1>School CNP / Custodian</h1> <p><strong>Promesa Academy Charter School</strong> is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and service-oriented <strong>School CNP / Custodian</strong> for the 2026–2027 school year. This position supports both the school’s Child Nutrition Program and custodial operations to help maintain a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.</p> <h2>Primary Responsibilities</h2> <h3>Child Nutrition Program Duties</h3> <ul> <li> <p>Assist with the preparation, serving, and distribution of student meals.</p> </li> <li> <p>Follow established meal schedules, portion requirements, and food-service procedures.</p> </li> <li> <p>Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, cafeteria, serving areas, and food-storage spaces.</p> </li> <li> <p>Follow all food-safety, hygiene, and health requirements.</p> </li> <li> <p>Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing food and kitchen supplies.</p> </li> <li> <p>Maintain accurate meal counts and other required documentation, as assigned.</p> </li> <li> <p>Support cafeteria setup, student meal service, and cleanup.</p> </li> <li> <p>Follow all Child Nutrition Program guidelines and school procedures.</p> </li> </ul> <h3>Custodial Duties</h3> <ul> <li> <p>Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and common areas.</p> </li> <li> <p>Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, empty trash, and disinfect frequently touched surfaces.</p> </li> <li> <p>Restock restroom, classroom, and custodial supplies.</p> </li> <li> <p>Assist with campus setup and cleanup for meetings, programs, and special events.</p> </li> <li> <p>Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damaged equipment, or supply needs.</p> </li> <li> <p>Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and custodial equipment.</p> </li> <li> <p>Help maintain exterior grounds, entrances, sidewalks, and loading areas.</p> </li> <li> <p>Complete additional cleaning and campus-support duties as assigned.</p> </li> </ul> <h2>Required Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li> <p>High school diploma or equivalent preferred.</p> </li> <li> <p>Current <strong>Food Handler Certification</strong>, or the ability to obtain certification before beginning employment.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong attendance, reliability, and time-management skills.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to maintain confidentiality and interact professionally with students, staff, families, and visitors.</p> </li> <li> <p>Willingness to complete required food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety training.</p> </li> <li> <p>Prior food-service or custodial experience is preferred but not required.</p> </li> </ul> <h2>Physical Requirements</h2> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, and pull.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to work around cleaning products, kitchen equipment, heat, and food-service environments.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.</p> </li> </ul> <h2>Position Information</h2> <ul> <li> <p><strong>Position:</strong> School CNP / Custodian</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Full-Time</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>School Year:</strong> 2026–2027</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Location:</strong> San Antonio, Texas</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Schedule:</strong> On-campus position; schedule may include early mornings and occasional school events</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Compensation:</strong> Based on qualifications and experience</p> </li> </ul> <p>Promesa Academy Charter School is an equal-opportunity employer.
