Medical Assistant

**Job Summary** * We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high\-quality patient care in a fast\-paced environment. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with medical staff. Experience in endocrinology or emergency medicine is preferred, as well as familiarity with medical terminology. * **Duties** * Documents all medical information efficiently, appropriately, and accurately in the EMR. eClininal works. EMR experience preferred. * Prepares patients for examination and ensures patient flow. * Obtains and records vital signs, height and weight, medical and medication history * Implement medical orders in a safe and proper manner. * Maintain rooms, equipment and supplies to uphold standard precautions. * Answer telephones, ensuring to handle customer inquiries promptly and appropriately. * Schedule appointments, process referrals and prior authorizations. * Register patients, ensuring accuracy, collection and scanning of proper documents, and all required registration steps are followed. * Provides patient\-centered care and customer service. * Triage patient calls. * Sends records to other providers, as needed. * Prior experience as a medical assistant preferred. * eClinicalWorks experience is preferred. * Clinical knowledge.
