Seasonal/Part Time Sales Associate

Position open immediately: The Metro Boutique is seeking a customer service professional and fashion enthusiast to become part of their fun team. Metro is a unique costume fashion store and body jewelry boutique located in the heart of the Hawthorne shopping district. How would you like to work in one of the most fun places in Portland? Play dress up with your customers? \-\-\-Bring it on Portland. We are looking for a part\-time employee. (Possibility of growth) **Key Responsibilities** * Greet and assist customers, offering product recommendations and styling suggestions. * Support inventory management, including restocking shelves and organizing merchandise. * Help create and update eye\-catching displays, including mannequins and feature areas. * Assist with store upkeep, including light cleaning and tidying. * Contribute to the boutique’s social media presence (e.g., helping with photos/reels, captions, and creative input). * Comfortable engaging with people of all backgrounds in a lively, inclusive environment. * Genuinely interested in creative, expressive fashion and costume wear. * Able to stand and move around for extended periods. * Capable of lifting and moving boxes up to 50 lbs. * Must be welcoming, respectful, and supportive of all customers, particularly in our LGBTQ\-friendly space. Have a minimum of two years of experience in the retail/clothing environment. Must be a people's person and feel comfortable helping others build looks. Have basic computer knowledge. Must be at minimum 21 years of age. Should be willing to pick\-up extra shifts as needed. Weekend availability. We will delete this post as soon as this position is filled.
