Facilities Manager

**Description** Job Overview: The Facilities Manager oversees the maintenance and housekeeping departments for the community association. Closely monitors, identifies and communicates problems in every phase of general maintenance of the building(s), including areas of carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, plumbing, mechanic, painting, flooring, patching, general hardware, other minor building repairs and cleanliness. Makes recommendations, performs repairs, replacement maintenance and implements preventive maintenance as established by Company procedures and guidelines. **Ideal candidate:** The ideal Facilities Manager brings a hands\-on, mechanically savvy approach to caring for a historic, over 100\-year\-old condominium community. This individual is an experienced leader who can effectively manage in\-house maintenance technicians while overseeing housekeeping operations and vendor performance. They are comfortable working in the field—whether that means accessing crawl spaces, troubleshooting complex systems, or supporting preventative maintenance efforts—while also being highly organized and technologically proficient. Strong computer skills are essential, including the ability to write clear SOPs, manage documentation, and communicate effectively with vendors and stakeholders. The Facilities Manager should possess an HVAC certification and demonstrate deep working knowledge of boilers, chillers, cooling towers, low\-pressure steam boilers, HVAC systems, and plumbing. A minimum of five years of hands\-on experience with steam pressure boilers is required. While electrical licensure is not necessary, confidence with building mechanical systems and a proactive, solutions\-oriented mindset are critical to success in this role. **Hours:** 7am\-3pm; must have valid drivers license Your Responsibilities: * Regular attendance and punctuality * Maintains a safe and secure environment throughout the building(s). * Leads, trains and directs maintenance
