Preschool/Daycare Teacher

A cozy English and Mandarin bilingual child care in NE Portland is looking for an energetic teacher to help care for friends aged 1\-5\. Training and/or experience in an early childhood education setting is required, and Chinese language skills would be a huge plus. Job responsibilities may include the following: \-Greeting parents and children cheerfully when they arrive and depart \-Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, organized, and safe for all children \-Supervising children in daily activities indoors and outdoors, gently redirecting misbehavior and helping resolve conflicts \-Planning activities that are developmentally appropriate for young children \-Leading circle time and preparing materials for craft activities \-Singing songs and dancing with children \-Helping with food preparation and cleaning \-Helping children with toileting, diaper changes and hand washing We offer competitive hourly compensation based on experience, paid holidays, and four weeks of paid vacation during school closures.
