At our non\-profit continuing care retirement community, every team member plays a role in making that possible—and as a **Maintenance Specialist I**, you’ll help keep our buildings, grounds, and equipment running smoothly. In this role, you’ll work under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager and alongside a supportive maintenance team. You’ll follow written and verbal instructions to complete basic building engineering and maintenance tasks, such as changing HVAC filters, cleaning condensing coils, replacing light bulbs, and assisting with minor electrical maintenance, including replacement or repair of fixtures. You’ll also inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment; follow all company safety regulations; complete scheduled daily duties; and assist with additional tasks as time allows. Reliability and professionalism are essential, including reporting to work on time and as scheduled, maintaining a professional appearance, and following departmental reporting policies for absences. The ideal candidate enjoys working with their hands, solving practical problems, learning new skills, and supporting a team. Basic computer skills are also important, including the ability to use Microsoft Office, navigate web\-based applications, and use handheld electronic devices such as a tablet or cell phone.
