Electrician Technician

<h3><strong>Job Summary</strong><br><strong> </strong></h3><p>Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial, retail, industrial, or residential environments while ensuring compliance with UK electrical regulations and safety standards.<br> </p><h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong><br><strong> </strong></h3><ul><li>Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.</li><li>Diagnose and resolve electrical faults and breakdowns.</li><li>Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.</li><li>Conduct planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.</li><li>Test and certify electrical installations where applicable.</li><li>Ensure compliance with BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and health & safety requirements.</li><li>Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.<br> </li></ul><h3><strong>Required Qualifications</strong><br><strong> </strong></h3><ul><li>NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.</li><li>Minimum 2 years of hands-on electrical installation or maintenance experience.</li><li>Ability to read electrical drawings and technical schematics.</li><li>Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.<br> </li></ul><h3><strong>Preferred Certifications</strong><br><strong> </strong></h3><ul><li><strong>JIB Gold Card</strong> (Highly Preferred)</li><li><strong>18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)</strong></li><li>ECS Card</li><li>Inspection & Testing Qualification (2391 or equivalent)<br> </li></ul><h3><strong>Required Skills</strong><br><strong> </strong></h3><ul><li>Electrical Installation</li><li>Electrical Maintenance</li><li>Fault Finding & Diagnostics</li><li>Preventive Maintenance (PPM)</li><li>Electrical Testing</li><li>Health & Safety Compliance<br> </li></ul><h3><strong>Disqualifiers</strong><br><strong> </strong></h3><ul><li>No NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification (or equivalent).</li><li>No hands-on electrical installation or maintenance experience.</li><li>No 18th Edition certification.</li><li>Unable to read electrical drawings and schematics.</li><li>Experience limited to general maintenance without electrical responsibilities.<br> </li></ul><h3><strong>Ideal Candidate</strong><br><strong> </strong></h3><p>Qualified Electrician with an <strong>18th Edition certification</strong>, <strong>JIB Gold Card</strong>, and proven experience in commercial, retail, or industrial electrical maintenance and installation.</p>
