Job description
**PROPERTY ACCOUNTANT**
A dynamic and growing commercial real estate firm is seeking a talented and detail\-driven **Property Accountant** to support our New Orleans portfolio, which includes retail, medical, and office assets. In this role, you’ll take ownership of the full financial reporting cycle for assigned properties, playing a key role in maintaining the financial health and performance of our portfolio.

**What You’ll Do**
* Prepare work by gathering and organizing documents and related information to ensure smooth financial operations.
* Process accounts payable by verifying transaction details, scheduling disbursements, and securing payment authorization.
* Manage revenue processes by verifying transaction information, calculating charges and refunds, preparing invoices, and identifying delinquent accounts or insufficient payments.
* Support collections by following up with delinquent accounts and communicating with customers on payment issues.
* Produce financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account data and trends.
* Maintain accurate accounting ledgers through timely and precise transaction posting.
* Reconcile accounts by verifying statements and ensuring transaction accuracy.
* Investigate and resolve discrepancies by reviewing documentation and initiating payments, stop payments, or adjustments as needed.
* Safeguard financial accuracy and compliance by adhering to internal accounting controls.
* Protect data integrity by completing database backups.
* Preserve financial history by maintaining organized and thorough accounting records.
* Collaborate with team members and contribute wherever needed to achieve shared goals.
