#### **Reports to: IT Manager**
Location: New York City (In\-person only)
Salary: $65,000, non\-exempt
#### **Position Summary**
The Level 1 IT Help Desk Specialist serves as the first point of contact for technical support requests and is responsible for providing timely, professional, and effective support to TEC Building Systems employees, customer\-facing systems, and field personnel.
This role focuses on troubleshooting common technical issues, managing support tickets, maintaining documentation, and escalating complex problems when necessary. Particular emphasis is placed on supporting the Service Department, Commissioning \& Construction Department, and systems critical to customer operations.
#### **About the Team**
The IT Department consists of a team of three individuals responsible for supporting the technology infrastructure, remote access solutions, cybersecurity initiatives, and business systems that support TEC's building automation operations.
#### **The department's primary focus is supporting:**
#### **Service Department personnel**
#### **Commissioning \& Construction personnel**
#### **Customer\-facing systems and infrastructure**
Building Automation System (BAS) environments
Routine corporate IT support for non\-operational departments may be provided through TEC's Managed Service Provider (MSP), allowing the internal IT team to focus on customer\-impacting operations and technical systems.
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern
On\-Call: Participation in the after\-hours on\-call rotation may be required as experience and skill level increase.
#### **Primary Responsibilities**
Respond to support requests from Service, Commissioning, Construction, and customer\-facing teams.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and remote access issues.
Support laptops, workstations, mobile devices, and field equipment.
