Junior AP Accountant

**Job Overview** We are seeking a detail\-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The Junior Accountant will assist in various accounting functions, including journal entries, account analysis, and regulatory reporting. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, proficient in financial software, and experience using AppFolio at a property management company. \*\*MUST HAVE APPFOLIO AND PROPERTY MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE\*\* **Responsibilities** * Processing final accounting (or auditing final accountings processed by another associate) * Processing ending managements * Processing tenant release agreements * Updating owner's online payables information as needed via DocuSign * Diagnostics * Reclassifying GL accounts * Bank reconciliations * Hold funds auditing daily * Laundry income audit monthly * Lease signing audit throughout month * Taking\-over\-management audit throughout month * Quarterly realtor payments * Delinquencies tracking * HAP/Rental Assistance emails/communications * Accounts receivables * Bank deposits * Posting NSF fees * Posting late fees * Posting and paying all management fees * Auditing every check run * Online payment batch approvals * Owner distribution payments * Issuing monthly notices to tenants (ex. Tenant unpaid balance notification, 10\-Day Notices) * Issuing monthly reports to owners (ex. Monthly packet, owner statements) * Overseeing AP department and ensuring tasks are completed on time * Responding to emails/communications **Qualifications** * Appfolio Experience * Familiarity with journal entries, accrual accounting, and payroll processes * Proficient in Excel; experience with financial software such as QuickBooks is a plus * Strong analytical skills with attention to detail * Ability to work independently as well as part of our 2\-3 person accounting team * Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively Join our dynamic team and t
