For more information, refer to Required Documents below. **Duties** ---------- VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package. VHA Physician Total Rewards. The candidate will have educational responsibilities for Pulmonary/ Critical Care fellows, Internal Medicine residents and medical students. Applicants must possess a full and unrestricted license in any state and must qualify for an academic appointment at Wayne State University. Applicants must be board certified in Internal Medicine, with subspecialty certification in Pulmonary Disease. Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Medicine boards are desirable. **Duties of the position include, but are not limited to:** * Attending responsibilities for the ICU team * Teaching is an integral part of the work of a VA staff Pulmonologist. Teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and Fellows is required. * The staff Pulmonary/ Critical Care Specialist exercises corporate citizenship by serving as leader and/or active member on Medical Center committees as requested. * Inpatient and/ or outpatient consultations for Pulmonary and Critical Care. * Must be eligible for an academic appointment with the Wayne State University School of Medicine. * The staff Pulmonary/ Critical Care Specialist provides expanded access to services via off normal tour or on call periods. * Procedural skills may include arterial puncture, EKG interpretation, arthrocentesis, abdominal paracentesis, venti pu
