Medical Assistant Technician

**About us** **This position is part\-time and will be Monday, Wednesday, Friday 7:50 AM \- 5 PM. Position is part\-time with the possibility to transfer to full time in the future as clinic gets busier.** Still Canyon Eyelid and Facial Plastic Surgery in Holladay, UT 84117\. We are a fast\-paced, fun and rewarding clinic to work for. Dr. Thomas Oberg is a Board Certified Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon specializing in eyelid \& facial surgery and Abbey M. Whiting is a Certified Physician Assistant in our clinic. Together, they provide excellent patient care in and out of the operating room. The Technicians/MA clinical duties include checking vision, eye pressure, take photos, enter chief complaints, order MRI/CT scans, draw up Botox/neurotoxin injections, set up for Biopsies/minor procedures, etc. When Dr. Oberg is off\-site in surgery, we (employees) are considered the Support Staff as we obtain surgical clearances, work with insurance, answer phones, schedule referrals, etc. We do cross\-train employees with other responsibilities to better assist and take care of our patients. Cross\-training duties may include: scribing during visits, checking in \& out patients, entering insurance information, scanning documents to patient charts, entering payments, answering/making phone calls, calling in prescriptions to pharmacies, calling on patient blood thinners, insurance authorizations, appointment confirmations, etc. Only full\-time employees are eligible for PTO and health benefits due to being a small clinic.
