Job description
Manage general and preventative maintenance functions to ensure guest service and sustainability standards are achieved and maintained throughout the hotel structure.

Area Chief Engineer – Regional Director of Engineering
#### **Your Focus**
* **Leadership:** Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates to ensure they perform in accordance with brand standards and HHM core values.
* **Financial and Vendor Oversight:** Manage and coordinate bids, quotes, and contracts for 3rd party vendors.
* **Project Management:** Oversee small projects or Property Improvement Plans (PIPs) and report on work progress.
* **Technical Repairs:** Perform and oversee diverse tasks including sheetrock repair, painting, furniture refinishing, and the replacement of electrical and plumbing fixtures.
* **Equipment and Systems:** Troubleshoot kitchen equipment and repair heating/cooling pumps. You will also install and program televisions.
* **Preventative Maintenance:** Maintain accurate records of PMs on all rooms and equipment; test and maintain life safety systems to ensure they are 100% operational.
* **Compliance:** Coordinate compliance of service contracts and ensure all work meets local, state, and Federal codes.
* **Operations:** Maintain the building exterior and curb appeal while following EarthView sustainability guidelines.
* **Safety and Service:** Practice safe work habits following MSDS and OSHA standards while working to increase guest satisfaction scores.
#### **Your Background and Skills**
* High School diploma and/or trade school coursework in a related field is preferred.
* Previous supervisory engineer/maintenance experience (or equivalent training) is required.
* HVAC certification is required.
* Other certifications may be required based on local needs.

* Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends or alternate shifts.
