The Sacramento Crisis Nursery is a family\-strengthening program, where parents can bring their children ages 0\-5 to one of two Sacramento nurseries for emergency childcare services or overnight care during difficult times. Our mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect by providing support to families in times of crisis. **OVERVIEW****:** The Child Care Worker I or II, under the supervision of the Crisis Nursery Supervisor and the work direction of the Lead Childcare Worker, assists in the total child care and supervision functions of the Crisis Nursery. This position is responsible for ensuring the health, safety and basic needs of children are met and for performing household tasks to comply with standards. **DUTIES****:*** Ensure the safety of the children at all times. * Provide supervision, protection and care of children individually and in groups at all times. * Provide assistance to each child in working with a group and in handling individual problems. * Administer discipline and set limits for behavior. * Notate child's progress, identification of the possible need for professional services, and communication of such findings to professional staff. * Administer medications and treatment following accurate dosage and times as prescribed or recorded in the child’s chart. * Provide direct child care services being aware of the needs and well\-being of all children. * Supervise the children at all times. * Attend to all child care needs, including but not limited to diaper chang
