Job description

**Position Summary** The Prep / Juicer is responsible for supporting daily food and beverage production by preparing ingredients, executing standardized recipes, and maintaining quality control across all prepared items. This role ensures consistency, efficiency, sanitation compliance, and adherence to established pars and prep standards. **The Prep / Juicer plays a critical behind\-the\-scenes role in supporting smooth operations and maintaining The Beet Box's quality standards.** **Key Responsibilities** **Food Preparation** * Prepare a variety of food items including soups, proteins, vegetables, sauces, and dressings according to company recipes and standards. * Portion and label food items for storage and future use. * Ensure all prepared food meets quality and presentation standards. * Follow daily Pars and Prep lists provided by management. **Mise en Place** * Organize and prepare ingredients in advance of service. * Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation. * Stock workstations with necessary tools and supplies. **Juice Production** * Operate juicing machines, blenders, and production equipment safely and efficiently. * Prepare fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients for juicing. * Measure and weigh ingredients accurately according to standardized recipes. * Produce juices following established procedures and quality standards. * Package and label finished products accurately. * Follow Pars and Prep lists to maintain appropriate production levels. **Quality Control** * Conduct quality checks on all prepared food and juice products. * Monitor consistency, taste, and presentation standards. * Identify and address production or quality issues promptly. * Maintain accurate production and batch records as required. **Inventory Management** * Monitor ingredient inventory levels and notify management of shortages. * Rotate stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) methods. * Minimize waste through proper portioning and storage techniques.
