This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in a dynamic environment dedicated to excellence and innovation. **Responsibilities** * Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and artistry * Maintain the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in the kitchen * Develop creative sushi menus that appeal to diverse tastes and dietary preferences * Manage ingredient inventory, ensuring freshness and proper storage of seafood and other perishables * Collaborate with the culinary team to execute special events, promotions, and seasonal offerings * Demonstrate excellent knife skills, including slicing fish and preparing rice with consistency * Educate team members on sushi preparation techniques and presentation standards **Requirements** * Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar culinary role specializing in Japanese cuisine * Strong knowledge of sushi ingredients, techniques, and presentation styles * Ability to develop innovative sushi recipes and adapt to customer preferences * Excellent classroom management skills for training new staff or conducting workshops on sushi making * Experience working with children or youth programs is a plus for engaging younger audiences in culinary education * Culinary certification or relevant training in Japanese cuisine preferred * Strong organizational skills for inventory management and lesson planning in culinary settings * Passion for teaching arts such as cooking, choreography, or performing arts is highly valued * Ability to work efficiently under pressure
