Heavy Equipment Operator

**Key Responsibilities** ------------------------ * Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner on active construction sites * Perform daily pre\-operation inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning * Follow project plans, blueprints, and verbal instructions to complete work as directed * Load, unload, and transport materials as needed * Grade, level, and excavate according to project specifications * Maintain awareness of site hazards and promote safe working conditions at all times * Report equipment issues or needed repairs promptly to supervisor or maintenance team * Assist with routine equipment maintenance and cleaning * Work closely with foremen, laborers, and other team members to meet project deadlines * Comply with all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures **Skills, Knowledge and Expertise** ----------------------------------- * Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment in a civil construction environment * Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred, but not required) * OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus * Strong knowledge of job site safety practices * Ability to read and interpret construction plans and site layouts * Physical ability to sit, stand, and operate equipment for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs * Reliable transportation to and from job sites **Benefits** ------------ * Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications * Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage * 401K with company match * PTO, holidays, and paid winter shutdown * Professional development and career growth opportunities **About Morgan Corp.** ----------------------
