**Responsibilities**
* Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning fresh produce and other food items to meet daily menu needs
* Assist in assembling dishes during meal service, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are maintained
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep station, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
* Support the kitchen team with food handling and storage, including proper labeling and rotation of ingredients
* Follow recipes accurately for menu planning and meal preparation, contributing to efficient kitchen operations
* Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives, mixers, and other culinary tools
* Assist with catering orders and special event preparations as needed to ensure timely delivery of quality food
**Qualifications**
* Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
* Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within restaurant or food service environments
* Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
* Skilled in knife handling, meal preparation, and basic culinary techniques
* Experience with menu planning, catering, and serving is a plus
