Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate licensed K**–6 Exceptional Children (EC) Teacher** to provide specialized academic instruction, behavioral support, and individualized services for students with disabilities, with a primary focus on supporting students with **Autism Spectrum Disorder (AU) and children with behavioral needs**. The EC Teacher will collaborate with general education teachers, families, related service providers, and school staff to ensure students receive effective instruction and meaningful access to the curriculum in a supportive and inclusive environment.

**Essential Responsibilities**
* Provide specially designed instruction aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), focusing on academic growth, communication, social skills, independence, and self\-regulation.
* Develop and implement individualized instructional plans using research\-based practices to meet the unique needs of students with autism and other disabilities.
* Provide academic support in literacy, mathematics, executive functioning, and classroom participation skills.
* Implement positive behavior interventions and supports , including proactive strategies designed to increase student engagement, independence, and successful participation in school routines.
* Collect and analyze academic and behavioral data to monitor progress, make instructional decisions, and support IEP goals.
* Collaborate with general education teachers to provide accommodations, modifications, and instructional strategies that promote student success in inclusive settings.
* Support students in developing self\-advocacy, communication, social interaction, and coping/regulation skills.
