Job description
**Job Overview**
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will use your existing diesel engine experience to machine and remanufacture components of the diesel engine. This includes engine blocks and cylinder head. Your expertise will ensure that all components will run correctly and reliably. **Duties**
* Perform comprehensive inspections and measurements and repairs on diesel engine components.
* Conduct routine maintenance to machining equipment in order to keep machining equipment in optimal condition.
* Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot mechanical and issues accurately.
* Repair and fabricate parts using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and fabrication skills to meet repair specifications.
* Assist with assembly and disassembly of components during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety standards.
* Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding repair status and recommendations.
**Qualifications**
* Proven experience as a Diesel Technician or Mechanic with dealership or heavy equipment background preferred.
* Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines and their components.
* Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex issues.
* Hands\-on experience with automotive repair tools including hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering kits, and diagnostic scanners.
* Knowledge on how to read measuring tools down to 0\.0001" accuracy. Calipers, depth guages, micrometers, bore guages, etc. is important
* Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers and team members..
* Valid certification or licensing related to heavy equipmen
