Full Stack Software Engineer - Contractor

### **Description** We are looking to hire a Full Stack Software Engineer \- Contractor.### **Role expectations** * **Design, build, test, deploy, and operate** full\-stack features for consumer web applications, from UI through backend services and APIs. * Develop **responsive, accessible, high\-performance** user interfaces using modern web standards and component\-driven development. * Build and evolve **backend services and RESTful APIs** with strong attention to scalability, reliability, and security. * Partner with Product and Design to translate requirements into **well\-architected technical solutions**, including tradeoffs and phased delivery. * Implement robust **observability** (logging, metrics, tracing) and participate in on\-call/incident response practices to maintain production health. * Ensure quality through **automated testing**, code reviews, and CI/CD best practices; raise the bar on engineering standards. * Optimize applications for **performance and Core Web Vitals**, applying profiling and experimentation to improve user outcomes. * Integrate with **third\-party services** (identity, payments, analytics, marketing) and internal microservices using secure patterns. * Reduce technical debt by **refactoring**, improving maintainability, and documenting decisions and interfaces. * Collaborate cross\-functionally and communicate effectively with Engineering, Security, Architecture, QA, and Operations to deliver seamless end\-to\-end solutions. ### **What we're looking for** * **Education:** BS/MS degree or equivalent years of experience. * Experience with **modern frontend** development (e.g., React \+ TypeScript; Next.js or similar frameworks). * Experience building **backend services** (e.g., Node.js, .Net, Java, or Python) and **REST APIs**. * Experience with **relational and/or NoSQL databases**, data modeling, and query optimization. * Solid understanding of **software design principles**, debugging, and delivering maintai
