Job description
**Role: Circuit Card Design Engineer****Client: Defense\-Aerospace****Hourly Rate: up to $71/hr (W2, non\-benefited)****Length: 1\-year contract****Location:** **Orlando, FL \- Hybrid****Shift: 4x10, 1****st** **Shift****Clearance: Due to nature of work performed within the facility, U.S. citizenship is required.**
**Position Description:*** Capture schematics and produce EPCAD layouts using Siemens Xpedition Enterprise, applying best practice routing, signal integrity, and EMI mitigation techniques.
* Develop power distribution circuit card assemblies that satisfy strict performance, thermal, and reliability targets.
* Define, document, and trace system performance, interface, and environmental requirements throughout the design lifecycle.
* Conduct trade off studies to select optimal components, architectures, and manufacturing processes.
* Generate complete design data packages (BOMs, drawings, test plans, verification results) for Design Assurance review and release.
* Coordinate with mechanical, software, and test teams to synchronize design, procurement, and testing schedules.
* Provide evidence and documentation for each Design Assurance gate, ensuring compliance with program standards and regulations.
* Mentor junior engineers and foster an inclusive, collaborative environment focused on technical excellence.
**Required Skills:*** Experience developing and refining system requirements, including performance, interface, and environmental specifications.
* Proven experience in circuit card design, integration, and testing for power electronics.
* Proficiency with Siemens Xpedition Enterprise or an equivalent tool for schematic capture.
**Desired Skills*** Experience with system power design and power distribution architecture.
* Knowledge of EMI grounding and isolation techniques.
* Familiarity with the MFC Design Assurance process.
* Experience using EPCAD for layout and signal routing.
