Not eligible for telecommuting. *In accordance with the Agreement between the United Auto Workers (UAW Local 2071\) and the Detroit Public School Community District the following vacancy is announced:* **Position Summary:** As a critical member of the DPSCD's Technology Division, the Driver/Forklift Operator plays a key role in the daily operations of the student records and technology assets warehouse. The Driver/Forklift Operator is responsible for safe transportation, organization, and management of student records, technology assets and materials. This role ensures the efficient movement of materials within the warehouse locations, and to and from district location while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining the highest standards of accuracy. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, great organizational and communication skills, and a service\-oriented mindset with a knack for solving problems and working with a team. **Minimum Qualifications:** * High school diploma or equivalent. * Valid DOT physical and Michigan chauffeur's license * Certified forklift operator license with experience in forklift operation in a warehouse environment. * Must demonstrate basic math and computer skills. * Basic knowledge of warehouse management systems or inventory software. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions. * Able to work well under pressure. * Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50lbs), Team lifting above 50 lbs.(as needed) and ability to handle fragile or sensitive materials. * Ability to stand for a lon
