<h3>Do you want to work with testing and optimization of advanced electric motors?</h3><p><span>At <strong>Alva Industries</strong>, you’ll get hands-on experience with the next generation of electric drive systems – at the intersection of control engineering, electronics, and system integration.</span></p><hr><h2>About the position</h2><p><span>As a <strong>Motion Control Systems Engineer</strong>, you’ll play a key role in testing, tuning, and validating Alva’s electric motors.<br>You will collaborate closely with both the development team and external customers to ensure precise motor control and high performance in real-world applications.</span></p><p><span>The role combines hands-on lab testing, analysis, troubleshooting, and automation of test processes. It’s a great fit for an <strong>electrical, mechatronics, or automation engineer</strong> with 2–7 years of experience who enjoys practical, hands-on work.</span></p><hr><h2>Your responsibilities</h2><ul><li><p>Test and tune motor controllers for position, speed, and torque</p></li><li><p>Integrate Alva’s motors with third-party drives and customer systems</p></li><li><p>Troubleshoot and optimize motor and control systems</p></li><li><p>Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and power analyzers</p></li><li><p>Document results and contribute to test setups and demos</p></li></ul><hr><h2>We’re looking for someone who</h2><ul><li><p>Has a solid understanding of control theory (PID, loop stability)</p></li><li><p>Can read electronic schematics and work practically with test and measurement equipment</p></li><li><p>Enjoys hands-on work, analytical problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration</p></li></ul><hr><h2>It’s a plus if you also have</h2><ul><li><p>Experience with<span> </span><strong>Field-Oriented Control (FOC)</strong> or tuning of servo/motor controllers</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of<span> </span><strong>encoders, sensors, and power testing</strong></p></li><li><p>Experience from<span> </span><strong>lab work, prototyping, or customer integration</strong></p></li><li><p>Knowledge of<span> </span><strong>CANOpen</strong>,<span> </span><strong>EtherCAT</strong>, or similar communication protocols</p></li><li><p>Industry experience in automotive, robotics or industrial automation</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Proficiency in<span> </span><strong>C#/Python</strong>, or similar languages for test automation</p></li></ul>
