Industrial Mechanical Technician

We are seeking an experienced **Equipment Mechanic / Service Technician** to support repairs and preventative maintenance across 5 automated car wash locations in the New Orleans metro area. **This is a hands\-on mechanical and electrical role focused on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining operating equipment—not general facility maintenance or cleaning.** Responsibilities: * Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on automated car wash equipment * Perform preventative maintenance on pumps, motors, bearings, gear boxes, conveyors, and car wash cleaning equipment * Conduct routine inspections to proactively identify wear, failure points, and needed repairs * Execute repairs independently and prioritize work in coordination with the Maintenance Director * Respond to equipment downtime and emergency service calls (including occasional nights/weekends) * Maintain service records and communicate equipment status and recurring issues Qualifications: * **3\+ years as a mechanic or technician** in industrial equipment, automotive, manufacturing, or related field * Mechanical systems (motors, bearings, conveyors, gearboxes) * Electrical systems (motors, relays, contactors, basic controls, 120–480V) * Pneumatics (solenoids, cylinders, regulators, compressors, air dryers) * Hydraulics (pumps, valves, flow controls, motors) * Ability to read and interpret technical manuals * Comfortable working independently across multiple locations * Available to work flexible shifts **Preferred (but not required):** * Experience with car wash equipment * Experience with high\-pressure pumps **What This Role Is NOT** * Not a janitorial or cleaning position * Not general facility maintenance (landscaping, trash, etc.) * This role is focused on **equipment uptime and repairs** **Additional Requirements** * MUST HAVE Reliable transportation to travel to locations throughout metro New Orleans * Must be comfortable working outdoors and around opera
