We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant and Athletic Trainer to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this dual role, you will provide essential support to our physical therapists and work directly with patients to prevent and treat sports\-related injuries. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in the development and implementation of rehabilitation programs, performing therapeutic exercises, and educating patients and athletes on injury prevention and wellness.
\*\*Key Responsibilities:\*\*
\- Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
\- Conduct therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual therapy techniques as directed by the supervising physical therapist.
\- Assess and treat injuries in the clinic.
\- Design and implement conditioning programs to help patients maintain peak performance.
\- Educate patients and/or athletes on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and general wellness.
\- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting progress and treatment outcomes.
\- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
\- Stay updated on the latest advancements in physical therapy and athletic training practices.
\*\*Qualifications:\*\*
\- Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
OR
\- Certification as an Athletic Trainer (ATC) by the Board of Certification (BOC).
\- State licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant and Athletic Trainer (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
\- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
