Fleet Diesel Mechanic

**Overview** Join our dynamic team as a key role in keeping our fleet on the road and safe. As one of our techs, you will be responsible for doing maintenance on our diesel fleet and equipment. You will also need to diagnose any issues reported from drivers and do your own precheck aswell to insure all trucks are in optimal condition. There will be some gas vehicles in that needs parts replaced and possible engine replacement. On diesel trucks you will do air brake repair and even hydraulic system repairs. This position is great for someone with gas and diesel engine repair and that will like having their own area to focus on getting work done and can manage themselves to knock out one job after another without being told step by step. Training will be given for the first few days to week until tech is comfortable and understands what is expected. **Duties** * Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension components, and HVAC systems across a variety of fleet vehicles and heavy equipment. * Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, shocks \& struts replacement, and brake repairs to maximize vehicle lifespan and safety. * Fabricate and modify parts using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair needs or customizations. * Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems, automotive diagnostics, and complex machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, industrial equipment, tractor\-trailers, and Caterpillar equipment. * Operate heavy equipment safely during repairs or testing procedures while adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and equipment handling. * Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document all repairs accurately for compliance and future reference. * Assist with assembly or disassembly of machinery c
