Enabling Business Performance — Join our team as our next <strong>DIRECTOR OF ACCOUNTING & FINANCE / CORPORATE CONTROLLER</strong> in Austin, Texas.</p> <p>We are seeking a strategic leader for the <strong>Director of Accounting & Finance / Corporate Controller</strong> role to oversee the company’s financial management and lead the day-to-day operations of the Accounting and Finance department at <strong>Velocity Electronics.</strong></p> <p>This Director will collaborate cross-functionally to plan, implement, manage, and control all finance-related activities of the company, while providing strategic leadership across the organization. The role is responsible for directing and overseeing the Finance & Accounting functions, with full accountability for accounting operations, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, treasury, tax, audit, and inventory control.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>What can you expect to do?</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>US GAAP & Financial Reporting: </strong>Lead general accounting activities in accordance with US GAAP, including oversight of day-to-day operations, consolidation and preparation of financial statements, analysis of financial results, and development and implementation of accounting policies.</li> <li><strong>Operational Accounting Leadership: </strong>Lead key operational accounting functions, including credit, collections, payroll, and accounts payable.</li> <li><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration: </strong>Collaborate across functions and regions to drive alignment and support achievement of company objectives.</li> <li><strong>Audit & Tax Compliance: </strong>Manage financial statement audits and ensure full compliance with tax requirements.</li> <li><strong>Internal Controls & Compliance: </strong>Ensure effective internal controls are in place to safeguard company assets and maintain compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.</li> <li><strong>Systems & Process Enablement: </strong>Partner cross-functionally to ensure the effectiveness of technology tools that support the Accounting and Finance functions.</li> <li><strong>Cash Management: </strong>Actively manage cash position and cash forecasting to ensure efficient and value-accretive use of company and investor cash.</li> <li><strong>Strategic Financial Advisory: </strong>Advise senior management on the financial implications of business and regulatory activities and provide recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities.</li> <li><strong>Leadership & Talent Development: </strong>Lead, coach, and mentor managers and staff to build a high-performing finance organization.</li> <li><strong>Strategic Planning: </strong>Lead the development and ongoing evaluation of short- and long-term strategic financial objectives.</li> <li><strong>Budgeting & Forecasting: </strong>Manage financial forecasting and budgeting processes to support business planning and decision-making.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>What is the experience and knowledge needed to be successful in this role?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting; active CPA license required.</li> <li>10+ years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience.</li> <li>Expert knowledge of GAAP and federal, state, operational accounting functions, and local financial laws and regulations.</li> <li>Strong experience with ERP systems and related automation tools.</li> <li>Proficiency in intercompany accounting structures and processes.</li> <li>Proven ability to streamline, optimize, and improve financial processes.</li> <li>Strong capability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines.</li> <li>Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts and methodologies.</li> <li>Understanding of inventory accounting processes and related principles.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Benefits Package </strong></p> <p>Along with growth, stability, and the opportunity to be challenged, Jabil offers a competitive benefits package that includes:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive Base Salary </li> <li>Annual Bonus</li> <li>Long Term Incentive</li> <li>Medical, Dental, Prescription Drug, and Vision Insurance with HRA and HSA options</li> <li>401K Match</li> <li>Employee Stock Purchase Plan</li> <li>Paid Time Off</li> <li>Tuition Reimbursement</li> <li>Life, AD&D, and Disability Insurance</li> <li>Commuter Benefits</li> <li>Employee Assistance Program</li> <li>Pet Insurance</li> <li>Adoption Assistance</li> <li>Community Volunteer Opportunities</li> </ul> <p><strong>This is an onsite position based in Austin, </strong>, placing you at the center of where global collaboration meets operational excellence.</p> <p> </p>
