**Job Summary**
Reed Mobile Veterinary Surgery \- “Bringing specialty surgical care to your pet, by working with your family vet” around southeastern Wisconsin.
Join our traveling veterinary team as a Veterinary Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will directly contribute to the health and well\-being of our animal patients. In this vital role, you will support the surgeon and veterinary technicians by providing compassionate care, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and assisting with a variety of clinical, surgical, and administrative tasks. Your proactive attitude and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for pets, their owners, and the team of the home clinic. **Duties**
* Assisting Vet Techs with patient restraint, anesthetic induction, preparation for surgery, movement to recovery, and area clean\-up
* Assisting the Surgeon by scrubbing in to surgery
* Operating Room set up and clean up
* Cleaning, packing, and wrapping surgical instruments
* Assisting to load and unload all equipment from the vehicle
* Some communications with pet owners and referring clinics through email, text, and phone calls could develop into the role
* Maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatments, medications, and procedures in compliance with clinic policies
* Uphold safety standards for animals, clients, and staff by adhering to clinic protocols and handling animals with compassion and care
**Qualifications**
* Passionate about animal health with a genuine desire to assist pets and their owners
* Prior experience working with animals or in a veterinary setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidate
